UN in Libya has been at the forefront of empowering women and promoting equality between men and women in Libya. Through various initiatives and programs, we have supported women in building resilience and breaking down barriers to contribute significantly to the Libyan economy. Women leaders in Libya are driving innovation, entrepreneurship, and sustainable development, showcasing their invaluable role in economic growth and resiliency.

The forthcoming municipal elections in Libya mark an important milestone in women's political participation, with a significant increase in the number of potential women candidates and increasing interest across the country.
